61 reviews of tidal basin paddle boats "this is a "mist-do once" great experience, and an intetesting way to see the tidal basin monuments and cherry blossoms from the water. the actual boats are ok, but there's some age to them and this requires…. We visited the tidal basin paddle boats just before july 4th and had a great time! the weather was great and the views were amazing. please keep in mind, this is a workout and shouldn't be taken lightly.. The paddle boats are open 7 days a week from march 13 through the rest of the summer. the first boats go out at 10am and the latest reservations are for 4pm. the prices are $18/hour for a 2-passenger boat and $30/hour for a 4-person boat..
The tidal basin is a partially man-made reservoir between the potomac river and the washington channel in washington, d.c. it is part of west potomac park and is a focal point of the national cherry blossom festival held each spring.. The tidal basin is my favorite place to go paddle boating in dc. it is the most scenic place for pictures, and the basin is so large that you can actually cover quite a bit of distance paddling from one monument to the other.. We're sorry, but there are currently no dates scheduled for this activity..
