Cracks are the most serious damage that can occur to a kayak and location is everything. many cracks on the top side of a kayak can be handled much in the same way as a hole, with either duct tape or silicone. while neither solution will fix the crack, both will prevent water from entering the kayak.. The "rubber seal in a can" stuff that you see on tv is not an abrasion barrier. it will scrape/scratch off easily if you spray it on the outside of your plastic kayak. i don't know of any simple fix for your water toy, but if you hit something hard enough to permanently damage a plastic kayak, then maybe it's time to just buy a new one..
